Our day began in such an awesome way. I opened my email to news that Mei's little foster sibling was adopted yesterday! My heart soared! The family was getting "Avery" (gotcha!) just two weeks before we get Mei. I quickly put word out on the Desheng orphanage FB site, asking if anyone knew the family who adopted Avery. We would love for them to stay in contact. We've been blessed with many pictures of our sweet Mei, and little Avery is in many of them. It's clear that they share a special bond.
But the good news didn't last for long. Shortly after sharing the excitement with the girls and Jad, I received a second email saying there was a mix up on which child had been adopted. Little "Avery" is still without a forever family. Today, our prayer request is for anyone that reads this post to make Avery your "refrigerator kid". Please print off the little picture and tape it to your refrigerator door. Each time you see those beautiful dark eyes, send up a prayer that Avery too would get a forever family.

HI! I found your blog through the yahoo group. I am wondering if Avery is with a specific agency. We are awaiting pre-approval on a little 4 year old girl but are praying about adding a second daughter. I know you are traveling and might not receive this. So enjoyed your movie of your beautiful daughter and was really "taken" with her little sister and wondering if she had a family too - that it would be sad for her when Mei leaves. The foster mom seems so sweet! Best wishes - Julie
